Christian Frankenberg
Chandler Family Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering; Jet Propulsion Laboratory Research Scientist
Christian Frankenberg studies the carbon cycle and makes measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane, and also measures plant activity by sensing solar –induced chlorophyll florescence from space. The florescence is a good representation of photosynthetic uptake of CO2 by plants. He works with the Orbiting Carbon Observatory 2 at JPL and observation satellites.
